Bibek’s Bio
Bibek Bhandari is a wanderer, dreamer and an aspiring journalist.
He is working as a correspondent for Republica, an English-daily in Nepal. He is also a foreign correspondent to the Abu Dhabi-based newspaper The National and is with the Nepal Desk of Global Press Institute.In his two-year career after school, Bibek has reported on diverse issues from rural Nepal to urban India, Indian-controlled Kashmir, Everest Base Camp and South Africa.
Bibek’s prior experiences include an internship with Rolling Stone India in Mumbai and a blogger position at the South Asian Journalists Association’s forum SAJAforum.org. He has worked on several stories for his college publications, TCU’s Daily Skiff and North Lake College’s News-Register.
He graduated from TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism in 2009.
